Some fans may be curious about the condition of Carly’s eye in upcoming General Hospital episodes. In order to reassure fans that they are not dreaming and that there is nothing to be concerned about, actress Laura Wright resorted to social media to address the situation head-on!
The actress said on Twitter/X, “So you will see me doing my best to hide my eye over the next couple of days.” I had a broken blood vessel when I woke up. Looking at it from the incorrect perspective was insane. Ask Charlie! Ha!
In response to her message, scene partner Charles Measure (Brennan) assured his co-star that everything was OK. He acknowledged that Laura’s eye did appear a touch unsettling. “But the scenes worked out perfectly; she was just as beautiful and talented as ever, and you couldn’t tell!”
Since Adam Harrington (ex-John) experienced the identical issue with a ruptured blood vessel earlier in June, many viewers would not even notice anything strange. Fortunately, the filmmakers can try to avoid revealing too much of the problematic eye by adjusting camera angles and blocking.
Since a subconjunctival hemorrhage doesn’t impair vision or really cause pain or discomfort, it seems much worse than it is. Fortunately, it goes away in a few weeks even if the conjunctiva can’t absorb the blood from the ruptured vessel very rapidly. Additionally, Wright’s eye has improved since these sequences were filmed around a month ago.
